Piggyback Marketing

Piggyback marketing implies a business relationship between two or more companies. It is a cost-effective collaboration to promote each other’s products or services and leverage each other’s resources and markets for mutual benefit. If you are in marketing and business, you likely are familiar with this term.

Examples of piggyback marketing known for creating solid synergies are Uber and Spotify, Nike and Apple, GoPro and Red Bull, Airbnb and Flight Centre, and Starbucks with Barnes and Noble.

My copywriting business gives me great opportunities to collaborate with others in this way, too. Digital marketers, web designers, graphic artists, videographers, and voice-over artists, among others, are some great partners for me.

Do you have experience in piggyback marketing? If not, are there collaborators who would be beneficial to your business and vice versa? It is worth exploring.

LinkedIn would be a great place to meet businesses with the potential for piggyback marketing together.
